About

Blackberry Inn is a small bed-and-breakfast in Groveland, a short drive from Yosemite's Big Oak Flat entrance. It holds a 5.0 rating across 230 reviews, with guests consistently pointing to hosts Steve and Alex for the kind of hospitality that turns a place to sleep into part of the trip itself.

Rooms and Daily Touches

Rooms and suites come with electric fireplaces and Wi-Fi, and the property is described as a refined B&B rather than a rustic one. Guests mention fresh-baked cookies every afternoon, fresh towels daily, and a quiet patio where hummingbirds and the property's horses are a regular sight.

Built Around a Yosemite Trip

Breakfast is homemade and served daily, with gluten-free options available on request. On hiking days, the hosts pack guests a lunch to take into the park, and reviewers repeatedly mention Steve checking road and trail conditions each morning — useful given how snow and weather can affect access to higher elevations. The inn is close enough to Groveland's restaurants and grocery store to cover dinner and supplies without a special trip, while still being a manageable drive from the Big Oak Flat entrance for a full day in the park.

We couldn’t say enough good things about our stay with Steve and Alex at the BlackBerry Inn. The rooms are darling & clean, the staff is just wonderful and knowledgeable about all the great places to see when visiting Yosemite, and the location is perfection. We were able to check in early and on our last day, when we had to leave earlier than expected, (sad we’d be missing our last DELICIOUS breakfast at the inn), Steve packed us a little to-go bag to get our early departure off to a good start. The food was amazing, coffee great, surroundings peaceful, rooms cozy & don’t get us started on the fresh baked cookies we got daily...! We would recommend the Blackberry Inn to ANYONE making a trek out to Yosemite. Thanks so much to the crew!!

Highly recommend staying at the Blackberry Inn! The Bridalveil Falls suite was beautifully decorated and made us feel right at home. We especially enjoyed watching the local wildlife and the close proximity to Yosemite. Steve really went above and beyond with his hospitality. We can’t wait to stay here again!

What an awesome stay! Spent two nights recently and it was one of our best experiences of our Yosemite trip. Steve was a great host. He was very knowledgeable of the park and local area and had great advice of where to go and see (especially to get away from crowded areas). The rooms were fantastic and so was breakfast. Highly recommend and we will definitely stay at Blackberry again.

We stayed 2 nights at the Blackberry Inn. We were met by Steve, an owner, and he showed us to and around our room. The room was very nicely appointed with many nice touches. We had a very comfortable king bed and a wonderful soaking tub. Delightful coffee was dropped outside our room at our table at 7am and breakfast at 8. They accommodated my spouses many dietary restrictions with ease. The breakfast was reallllly good and was different each day. They also offered a fresh cookie each day (also delicious), teas, well water and a pitcher of OJ in the fridge. Very quiet (no tv) but has WiFi available. Great stay - peaceful and quiet but also very nice.

My partner and I stayed here in April 2026 and it was wonderful. The rooms and property were fantastic. Steve the owner is super friendly and provided excellent service and great advice. He was very helpful and understanding when we got stuck in Yosemite Valley due to bad weather. The breakfast and cookies were top-notch. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a quiet escape and place to explore Yosemite and the surrounding area.
