⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tenaya at Yosemite was everything we hoped for and more. As a family of four visiting from New Jersey with two boys, it was the perfect home base for exploring Yosemite National Park while still feeling like a true resort. The property is beautiful, with a peaceful mountain setting and outstanding amenities. After long days of hiking, the pools and hot tubs were exactly what we needed to relax. The fire pits in the evening created a great atmosphere for making s’mores and winding down as a family. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and every staff member we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. The lodge strikes the perfect balance between rustic charm and modern comfort. The location is hard to beat—just minutes from the south entrance to Yosemite, making it easy to get an early start before the crowds. If you’re planning a trip to Yosemite and want a place that offers exceptional service, great amenities, and a relaxing atmosphere after a day of adventure, Tenaya at Yosemite is an outstanding choice. We made some incredible family memories here and would absolutely stay again.

Location and amenities are what you're paying for at the Tenaya. For reference: Paid about $600/night for a king spa room. The good: Location is prime, 10 min from southern entrance of park. Pool complex is great...although young couples and retirees beware because this is a VERY family resort (not a problem for us with our 7 year old who loved the pool). The food was better than expected for resort food: we ate mostly poolside and at the BBQ, did not eat at the sit down restaurants. Room was nice and quiet with little balcony which was relaxing to drink morning coffee on. Bathroom definitely needs updating with doors I'd expect in a college dorm. The meh: The service. Staff essentially walking around clueless unsure of basic questions like what time does x or y open. Had little faith in the concierge as she was attempting to sign us up for various things. Room cleaning is woefully understaffed, so occurs ridiculously late in the day. Definitely had a sence of being nickle and dimed for a lot of things - I'm sorry but charging for bikes, stargazing walks and shaved ice at the BBQ buffet is kinda cringe. The Bad: The wifi. Spent the entire trip on 5g because the wifi was abhorent. I couldn't be paying $600/night fot bad wifi. Overall: We had a great time at the Tenaya and would stay here again with kids, although not for a higher price point than this.

We just wrapped up an incredible family vacation at Tenaya at Yosemite, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Every employee we encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to help, creating an atmosphere that was both relaxing and memorable. The lodge itself is beautiful, with a perfect balance of rustic mountain charm and modern comfort. Our rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well maintained. The indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, and evening fire pits became favorites for both the adults and kids after long days exploring Yosemite. The location is hard to beat. Being just outside the south entrance to Yosemite National Park made it incredibly convenient to enjoy early morning hikes, scenic drives, and sunset views while avoiding long commutes. After spending the day in the park, it was a pleasure returning to a peaceful, comfortable resort. We especially appreciated how family-friendly the property is. Our group included six adults and six kids, and there was something for everyone. The grounds are beautiful, the amenities are excellent, and the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between adventure and relaxation. A special thank you to the team at Jackalope’s Bar & Grill. The food was consistently excellent, and the service matched it. It was the perfect place to unwind after a day in Yosemite. Tenaya isn’t just a place to sleep—it’s part of the Yosemite experience. If you’re looking for a resort that combines exceptional hospitality, outstanding amenities, a fantastic location, and a true mountain-lodge atmosphere, this is it. We’ll absolutely be back, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Tenaya to anyone planning a trip to Yosemite.
